SO WHERE DO I BEGIN?
What to expect from your consultation...
Before the first face to face consultation, I will provide you with a comprehensive health and body scan questionnaire along with a 3-day food diary for you to complete and return to me.
During a typical 90 min. initial consultation I will ask you detailed questions about current health concerns, symptoms, any diagnosis and treatment of illness, medical history, family history, lifestyle, levels of physical activity, use of medication and supplements and diet. This will help me to build a picture of your current state of health and concerns. I will then evaluate your individual needs using current evidence based nutritional science and with your goal in mind I will develop a personalised, effective and practical nutrition and lifestyle programme for you to follow at home for the next few weeks. Additional supportive material include recipes , tips and educational handouts. High quality supplemental support and in-clinic, GP and laboratory testing may be recommended if appropriate to further support your programme.
Follow up consultations, lasting 1 hour, are generally scheduled after 4/6 weeks in order to monitor progress and make any necessary adjustments. Further follow ups may be required depending on each individual programme or situation.
I consider it very important to work alongside and communicate with any medical / healthcare practitioner who might be involved in your care, to offer you the most comprehensive, beneficial and safe service. For your safety you may be referred to your GP if you have any ‘red flag’ symptoms that should be investigated by a medical professional.
